A month less a day....

I've not been around. Work has been taking it out of me!

Do not fear though, it is almost half term, and this Saturday I'm dedicating to craft. So I'm going to do as many challenges as I can (from the last post) as well as the prep challenges from Scrapagogo, I am so excited about the Getaway now!!!

Also, I want to share my love of sock monkeys. I love them. I love making them, and giving them as presents. The lovely Pippa brought this to my eye. A sock monkey kit in a box! Plus money goes to Action For ME. Go on, try it, you know you'll love it! Plus you'll manage to finally find a home for those stray, partnerless socks so they aren't so lonely anymore!

A New Layout!

I have been so busy decorating and clearing that I've not had heaps of time to craft. Such a shame. I've allocated this Saturday to crafting though, so here's hoping I will be writing another craft related entry in here soon!

Here is a layout I made with some of the latest Scrapagogo kit, it is of our late hamster, Cupcake. I have used the Create kit and also the hybrids, I am getting more into hybrid scrapping now and I love it!

Go To Press!

Well Shimelle's new class 'Go To Press' started yesterday and after the party fun at the weekend, I was ready to roll!

The first task was to make the front page, using the printables provided. Here is my interpretation:

Looks pretty haphazard, I know. I tried to make it look 'cooler', but I failed! Oh dear. It looks better in real life though, less shonky, y'know?

Anyhow, this is all a learning curve, and today is about music and printing on labels! Wish me luck!

This is the first official week of the summer holidays and I have heaps of things to do, we are going to make sure this place is looking amazing! We are also pondering the big 'W' word at the moment, more on that when it happens though.

I thought I'd tell you about a new class which sounds pretty fabulous. It is by Shimelle and is called 'Go To Press'. It sounds really fun and interesting with prompts, printables, a private message board and heaps more. It costs $25, which is just over £15 for us Brits, and you can sign up for it here. Classes start on August 3rd, so there's still some time to have a think whether you want to do it. Shimelles classes are always fun and interesting, and there is always so much content and support (well what would you expect from a fellow teacher?!!).

I will be updating with some crafty and shopping bits later in the week, am hoping the weather brightens up so I can run the errands I wanted to do today.....
